Unealta pentru marcat pielea in locurile de trecere a acului (impreuna cu ata de cusut). Lasa 6 urme pe fiecare inci la intervale de 4mm. In locurile marcate se fac gauri cu ajutorul unei sule urmand ca acul cu ata sa treaca prin ele. Daca urmele sunt prea dese se pot face gauri doar din 2 in 2 (la intervale de 8 mm). Marcajele lasate pe piele pot avea si rol decorativ, fara a implica o cusatura ulterioara.
